CCS Breaks Ground

The Groundbreaking Ceremony was held April 4, 2012, for the new Circleville City Schools campus.



Several local dignitaries were treated to a luncheon in the CHS Library, and then went to the ceremony site.


 

 

 


Superintendent Kirk McMahon welcomed guests as well as all the students and teachers from the district.



Leading the crowd were:

Third Grade Students “Pledge of Allegiance”

CHS Swing Choir: “Star Spangled Banner” and the CHS Alma Mater, “The Red and the Black”


 

 


Remarks were heard from Christine Williams, board of education president, Don McIlroy, Mayor of Circleville and Aspen Dowden, president of the Class of 2014, the first class to graduate from the new high school building.


 

 


Several groups were photographed “shoveling dirt”.  Included were the board of education and school officials, Mayor McIlroy, city and county officials, leadership groups and CHS Alumni Association Board members.
